About me

My name is Rubén Fernández and I am a Computer Engineer since year 2000.

Since 2010 I am developing applications for mobile phones and tablets. I am specialized in iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) and Android Operative Systems. I have also made ​​cross-platform developments with HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery and Qooxdoo and Phonegap frameworks. You can see the list of apps I have developed clicking on the Developments tab.

I have experience in administration and web site development with PHP, Javascript, mySQL... technologies. Among the CMSs I have implemented are Drupal, Wordpress and Moodle. In the case of Drupal I have participated actively in its developer forum.

Nowadays I'm working for a SW company that makes mobile developments.

Previously I worked for 10 years in a multinational of the Simulation Indistry (aircrafts, copters...) where I programmed with C and C++ languages.

English: Advanced level.

Japanese: Elementary level.

I regularly travel for pleasure. Among the destinations visited are Japan, China, United States, France, United Kingdom, Italy...

During year 2011 I spent 10 days in Tokyo, having planned a 3 months stay that had to be cancelled after suffering the 11-M earthquake, the tsunami and nuclear warning.

During that year 2011 I spent 3 months in New York too, including a roadtrip to Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Chicago, improving my English and knowing the american culture.

I am a member of the Friends of the museum of Prado and museum Thyssen Bornemisza. Art is one of my passions.

I love traveling for pleasure and know new places and cultures.
